SKULL 2010

This board was developed with the help and the feedback of  Pro riders. It is a top level board for freestyle competition. In the developments of the 2010 Skull model board we focused on many important aspects to improve the overall riding performance of the board. We upgraded both the shape and rocker line of the 2009 model, improved the progressive flex tips, stiffness and pop of the board. It features  a wider stance option for better stability when landing difficult freestyle tricks. Overall Skull model is the absolute top level new school freestyle board. Main advantage of the Skull model board is that you can use it for even the most difficult new school freestyle tricks and aggressive riding style. It is stiff in the central area, with wide tips for better landings and a lot of pop for higher jumps.

The heart of the kiteboard is its core, so we paid great attention to choose the right materials for the production of Jay kiteboards. We have decided to choose the lightest and overall the best available wood for cores in the snowboarding industry. The wood is one continuous piece from tip to tip without any joints, because every joint causes a breaking point, this allows the wood to maintain its natural flex properties, which are essential for excellent flex and pop of Jay boards. Our goal was to have a core with properties and advantages of wood and to keep it very light.Skull model is produced with 1D Carbon technology, we use ABS side walls construction. ABS is a high strength, very durable thermo-plastic material. CNC shaped, hand fine finished rails bond together the upper and lower layers of carbon. Together they create a torsion box which improves the stiffness of the board in torsion.Hi tech construction of Skull model combining layers of 1D carbon with CNC shaped Wood core and ABS side walls, make the board one of the lightest in the world with excellent flex, pop and overall performance. Concaved bottom is one of the main characteristics of the shape of Jay kiteboards. The board is more stable in carves, easy to switch and rides smoothly. This year we put a little bit more flex on the tips, but the board is still considered to be stiff.

This year we have put a lot of effort in improving small, but important details on the boards. We heavily focused on the pads, straps and fins to improve its riding properties and to make the mounting even easier and faster to fit all personal preferences. Super light weight dual density EVA pro pads are very durable and don’t get worn out easily. You can adjust the stance angle to fit your personal preference. Comfort and quality of the EVA pads prevent your knees from pain even after a long ride. We put on a toe step on the pads, so your feet always stay in the right position and enable the rider to fully control the board with ease. Our brand new 2010 straps are lighter and more comfortable than ever before. We use G10 fins with a very thin profile in order to prevent drag. G10 fins are durable and hard to break. Once again, G10 material is the best solution in the industry.
